I believe that all children are unique and have . something special that they can bring to their own educational experience. I bring an open mind, a positive attitude, compassion, dedication and high expectations to the classroom everyday. I owe it to my students to bring consistency, diligence and kindness to my job in the hope to inspire and encourage young minds.
I am a graduate of Seton Hall University (B.F.A.) and attended graduate school at the College of St. Elizabeth for a Master’s Degree in Education. My husband and I are firm believers in Catholic education and our two daughters have always attended Catholic schools. I have a passion for teaching with experience in all grades from Pre-K to High School. I am excited to be a part of the St. Philip Prep school community.
I live in North West New Jersey near the upstate New York border. I have lived there with my husband for twenty-five years, moving there right after getting married. Although I have deer and the occasional bear in my back yard, I am still a city girl at heart growing up and working there as an Advertising Director for six years. As an artist, I enjoy painting/drawing, reading, volunteering and traveling.
In my classroom, I will incorporate group learning, projects, themes and individualized work that will engage student learning throughout the year. Students will be expected to work independently and in small groups, while each school day will be infused with opportunities to build character that will help them succeed throughout their lives. I will assist each child to develop their own potential and learning style. I have high expectations for all of my students. I aim to bring out the best in every child.
