SAINT PHILIP PREPARATORY SCHOOL
October is the month of the Rosary. After the liturgy, the rosary is held as of our greatest scriptural prayers. The mysteries of the rosary focus on the central events in the lives of Jesus and Mary. Learn more about this time honored Catholic tradition at – www.Catholic.net.
Our new Kaleidoscope classrooms have been completed – and we love them! We moved into our two new classrooms on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, located at the end of the Middle School wing. Mrs. McKeever, Ms. DeLuca, and their Kaleidoscope students wish to express their gratitude for the beautiful new space created for them. Going forward, they will no longer hold their classes in the auditorium balcony. Thank you, Fr. Joe!
Rediker. According to our program, we have 67 families that have not activated their Rediker accounts. Creating a Rediker account is mandatory for monitoring your child’s educational progress, as well as for emergency communications. If you need assistance, please call Mrs. Neglia 973-779-4700.
Mid Term and Final Exams. Beginning January 2019, the Prep will transition to a midterm and final exam schedule. This will allow our students the opportunity to experience what will be expected of them during our standardized testing. As always, the students will be made aware of when the exam will be administered, in addition to the scope of the exam, therefore, Saint Philip Preparatory School does not utilize “study guides.” Students are responsible to have the necessary materials to effectively prepare for the exams.
Classwork and Homework are major components to your child’s academic progress at Saint Philip Preparatory School. Earning an incomplete on classwork or homework will unquestionably impact the report card grade. Parents please encourage your children to be responsible when completing or handing in their schoolwork.
Label, label, label. Please remember to label all clothing, Books, supplies and other belongings, with your child’s name and grade. Items that are found will be sent to our Lost and Found, located on the auditorium balcony.
