April 2022 SPPS Newsletter

Only a short time ago we welcomed the newborn infant Son of God and Son of Mary, the Savior of the World. There is a similarity and difference between Christmas and Easter. Both times the message is: “Be not afraid.” “Do not be afraid, because the Savior has come,” whereas the message of Easter is “Do not be afraid, because the Savior has triumphed!” On that first Easter, the apostles became changed persons; their discouragement was replaced by hope, their weaknesses by strength and courage. This Easter may we too be transformed, to new life and hope that the Risen Jesus brings. Be not afraid!

Living Stations will be presented to our student body on Wednesday, April 13th. This Saint Philip Preparatory School time honored tradition is a most beautiful way to enter the Easter Triuum, as we prepare to walk with Jesus to Calvary, and anticipate His joyous Resurrection. Please log onto the Parish website to view all the Holy Week services. All are welcome to join us.

3rd Quarter report cards will be dropped into the Parent Portal the afternoon of Thursday, April 7th. Please log on to your Rediker accounts to retrieve the document. Please call the school office should you need assistance.

As we enter the final academic quarter for the 2021-2022 school year, let us encourage our students to stay the course, remain focused, especially our 8th grade students, and finish with our strongest and most determined efforts!

On behalf of all our faculty and staff, I wish all our Prep families, a joyous Easter filled with the Peace of the Risen Jesus!
